Dear Church Family,
- Workday this Saturday 03/06. We will be replacing ceiling tiles, some floor tile repairs, looking for a water leak in a bathroom wall, some light gardening and repairing the wall in fellowship hall. We begin with breakfast and fellowship at 8:30 and end around noon.
- License to Carry Course:
Based off current events and recent tragedies within the US. I would like to extend an opportunity for any church member to get their License to Carry from the State of Texas for their own self-defense. The classroom portion is a minimum of 4 hours. Then the handgun proficiency test at the range is 1.5-2 hours.
I have attached an outline of what will be covered in the class and the requirements that need to be met in order to apply for the license with the state of Texas.
The course fee is waived for all church members. A Love offer or donation can be given depending on what the Lord places on your heart.
Must be 21 or older also can within a year of being 21.
I will also provide the handgun and ammunition needed in order to take the handgun proficiency test if needed
If members would like to use their own handgun that is okay as well, but they must provide their own ammunition.
The only cost that the members of Vista Hill Church will incur are:
Ammunition is scarce right now so if a member cannot find any, I have some however I am unable to absorb that fee. 50 rounds of 9mm would be $75. This is the only ammunition that I have available.
State of Texas Application fee paid to the state: $40 (at the time of applying but within a year of training)
Fingerprint fee paid to the vendor: $13 (at the time of service but within a year of training)
This is not a how to shoot class, however I will be more than willing to teach anyone at the end of the class and before the handgun proficiency test the basics needed to get through the firing portion.
