Thanksgiving Greetings

Dear Church Family,

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving day. Please know Grace and I are thinking of you and miss you. We are looking forward to being reunited with you this Sunday. I know many of you face various challenges, trials and even sorrows today. However, you can be certain God's love for us far outweighs our momentary hurts and troubles. Please do not let our adversary steal your joy today. I would like to share the following two verses with you in the hope they will guard your heart and mind against his schemes:

2 Peter 1:3 ESV
His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence,

1 John 3:1 ESV
See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

The first verse is a powerful weapon against Satan's lies about your circumstances. He says you are poor, lacking and left out. God says your knowledge of Jesus is a gift given to you by God's divine power and is all you need for life and for godliness. Do you believe God speaks the truth in that? Is your salvation and relationship with Christ more than enough for all your needs?

The second verse disproves the lie so many hear from the lips of Satan. He says, "Nobody likes you." He can make you feel alone whether you are by yourself or in a room full of people. God says, "You are never alone. I am your father. You are my precious child. I will never leave you or forsake you. If people don't like you, its ok. They don't like me much either."

It is your choice which voice you listen to today. Hear The Father speak. Receive his intimate declarations of love for you. Believe he speaks his true heart to you. Deny the devil his foothold. Rejoice in the Lord and his goodness today! And again I say rejoice!

Your Servant,
Randy
