Dear Church Family,
Maria Cooper went to visit Barbara at the adult foster care home. She was told Barbara had passed away Wednesday. Barbara’s family has not contacted me so I assume they made funeral arrangements somewhere else. I do not have any information of where or when.
Barbara was very concerned for the salvation of her family. I am sure the best way we can remember and honor her life would be to continue to pray for their salvation.

As you may or may not know, Don and Lynn Monks will be leaving El Paso in September! They are moving closer to their children and grand/great grandchildren in Arlington, Texas.😢
They have been with Vista Hills Church since it opened its doors in 1975! Obviously we will miss them dearly as anyone who knows them will testify. So we want to have an opportunity to hug them one more time and send them off with our love.
Vista Hills Church will be hosting a reception for them on Saturday, August 19 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm @ 2301 Lee Trevino. Please plan on coming to wish them well, pray with them, share a story or offer kind words of encouragement. Since they are having to down-size considerably, they’ve requested no gifts but sweet words are always welcome.

Just wanted to let the ladies know that the Thursday morning Bible Study will resume next Thursday, August 10. We meet at 9:15a.m. at the church and are done by 10:30. For those who have attended, we look forward to being together again – I’ve missed our fellowship. For those who haven’t been able to come, please pray about whether or not you should be joining us. We look forward to another year of studying God’s Word together and lifting each other up in prayer.
