Dear Church Family,
- Work Day - The deacons need some help unloading some things into Don and Mare Roberts' house next Saturday. Please contact Charlie Garza for details.
- New Building - I was unable to get the final inspection done because of how much time has passed since our last inspection. We need a general contractor to pull a new permit and to resubmit our plans before a final can be done. Please pray God will provide someone who knows the process downtown and who is willing to help us with this.
- Mothers Day - The deacons are planning a breakfast Sunday May 8th for Mother's Day They are asking the guys to bring a cooked dish to share. Or, you might prefer to bring some fruit, sweet bread, juice, or milk. . We will do like we did for Easter with breakfast being served between 8:30-10:15 in the fellowship hall. Please plan on helping clean up from 10:15-10:30. Contact any of the deacons to see what they need you to bring. - New Life Christian Academy - Another school year is almost over, which means a new school year will begin soon. Our school is doing well and growing. However, we still do not have enough students to be able pay our teachers a full salary. We have a wonderful staff who consider teaching their calling rather than their job. They are trusting God for their provision as they give their time and love to the kids at our school. It was brought to my attention, this past week, that the teachers will have to buy their classroom supplies, lesson planning books and grade books before the next semester begins. I am bringing this need now to your attention so that you can join me in praying for God's provision. I wanted to offer you all an opportunity to be involved in this ministry. Frequently folks ask me how they can help with the things God is doing at Vista Hills. I think it would be wonderful if we could hand each of our teachers a $100 gift card for them to use throughout the year as supply needs arise. We currently have twelve teachers. If the Lord lays on your heart not only to pray but also to give towards this need, please contact Grae. Whether you are able to give or not, remember the most impactful thing you can do is pray.
