And a New Website!

And a New Website!

Hello Again!

For those of you that don’t really know me, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Daniel Jones! I’m a very good friend of Jonathan Smith and it was this friendship that lead me to Vista Hills.

I graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2011 but after numerous knee surgeries from playing football at the Academy, my time as an officer in the Army was cut short. I was honorably medically discharged in January of 2013 and thus began my career as a web developer. I’ve been doing web development since high school so my transition to civilian life was incredibly smooth and easy – all thanks to God.

Anyway – In April of 2015 – Jonathan and I decided to combine our skills and create a small freelance company called One Turtle Ship (If you’re curious about that name, then check out the blog on our website at It was our goal to conduct business as Christians should and help small business owners in El Paso, by putting God first and asking for His direction. Because of the success we experienced, we¬†decided to donate a new website and logo to Vista Hills at the start of 2016.

The first draft of the new website was completed in January. But after praying and praying and praying about it, I felt that the initial draft of the website didn’t fit the atmosphere of Vista Hills at all. After months of working on the website when the time was available to me, God lead me to create what you see today. Vista Hills church is a small church but it deserves nice things and I wanted the website to represent that. When people come to our website I want them to see a Vista Hills for what it is. A tight nit community fueled by prayer. And I hope I’ve conveyed that in some way.

Please feel free to email me about suggestions for the website or if you see any errors or things that should be added or removed at

God Bless!
– Daniel Jones
